🎯 Job Purpose

To manage a portfolio of retirement funds by producing monthly bank reconciliations, maintaining cash flows, and executing accurate and timely accounting functions aligned with company procedures and industry regulations.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a full portfolio of retirement funds and ensure compliance with company procedures and financial legislation.

• Produce quality bank reconciliations and cash flow reports monthly.

• Handle rate updates via SharePoint and Khanya, ensuring correct documentation is filed and processed.

• Monitor unallocated accounts (risk UA’s) and perform timely corrective actions.

• Manage monthly premium reconciliations and payments for administration and reinsurance across participating employers.

• Prepare reports for management committee meetings and present accurate data for trustee meetings.

• Actively communicate with internal teams, external clients, reinsurers, and third parties to resolve issues and maintain service levels.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles and actively implement them in all interactions.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

Education:

• Matric/Grade 12 (Essential)

• Higher Certificate/Diploma in Accounting (Recommended)

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year in a financial/accounting environment (Essential)

• 2–3 years in retirement fund accounting (Advantageous)

Technical Skills:

• MS Office proficiency – Advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Macros)

• Familiarity with SharePoint and Khanya platforms

• Strong understanding of Pension Funds Act and retirement fund operations
