🧑‍💼 Job Overview

The Furniture Consultant (40hr) role is a customer-facing sales position responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store experience while driving sales performance. The successful candidate will act as a brand ambassador for @home, assisting customers with furniture and homeware solutions that align with their lifestyle needs.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, sales focus, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining excellent visual standards and operational discipline.

🛒 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a premium guest experience by engaging customers professionally and confidently

• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable furniture and homeware solutions

• Consistently achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets

• Monitor personal sales performance and take ownership of results

• Stay informed on product ranges, interior trends, and new technology

• Actively identify opportunities to grow customer relationships and repeat business

• Support stock replenishment and maintain high visual merchandising standards

• Ensure the store is presentation-ready at all times

• Execute the customer service strategy to ensure customer satisfaction

• Perform administrative duties related to sales and stock processes

🎓 Qualifications & Education

📚 Minimum Education

• Grade 12 (Matric) – Required

🧠 Experience, Skills & Competencies

💼 Experience

• Retail sales experience preferred

• Exposure to furniture, homeware, or lifestyle retail will be advantageous

• Management or supervisory experience will be beneficial
