👷‍♂️ Role Overview: General Miner

We are hiring 4 General Miners to join our underground mining team at Borwa Mine, Mototolo Complex. This position holds legal accountability for construction blasting as per the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and plays a key role in the safe, efficient movement of people, materials, and ore underground.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all working areas meet safety requirements.

• Enforce mining standards and best practices.

• Prepare and manage blasting areas, including handling explosives.

• Communicate operating standards to team members and ensure compliance.

• Monitor and improve mining processes.

• Collaborate daily with Supervisors and Shaft Foremen.

• Complete shift reports and operational documentation.

• Make sure all job instructions and checklists are accessible and used properly.

📚 Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• NQF Level 3 Rock Breaker National Certificate or Valid Underground Blasting Certificate (Hard Rock)

• Medical Fitness Certificate

Experience:

• 1–3 years as a General Miner or Crew Captain

• Trackless mining experience is advantageous
