About the Role 🏭

Motus Aftermarket Parts is seeking a General Worker to join our team at the Midas Rustenburg branch. As a General Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations by performing various duties, including stock taking, binning, picking, packing, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities 🔑

As a General Worker, your daily tasks will include:

• Binning & Stock Replenishment 📦:

  • Ensure incoming merchandise is binning correctly and inventory replenishment is completed accurately as per standard operating procedures.
  • Allocate new products to the appropriate bin locations and update inventory accordingly.
  • Assist with replenishing stock from bulk to pick locations and ensure new products are allocated to the correct warehouse areas.
  • Report updates to your superior to ensure stock levels are correctly monitored.

• Picking Orders 🛒:

  • Ensure customer and branch orders are picked within the set time frame to meet order cut-off times.
  • Follow picking procedures and ensure bulk orders are handled properly to avoid breakages.
  • Perform double checks to ensure accuracy and prevent loss of inventory.
  • Assist with stock-taking procedures to ensure all inventory is accounted for.

• Scanner Control 📱:

  • Issue scanners to operators daily and track their use through an electronic app.
  • Inspect scanners for damage upon return, ensuring any issues are reported promptly.
  • Complete and maintain the scanner issue spreadsheet for accurate record-keeping.

• Warehouse Housekeeping 🧹:

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse at all times, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Perform general warehouse duties to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience 🎓

• Minimum Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent in literacy and numeracy.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of spares, motor/engine parts, and warehouse systems and procedures is highly beneficial.
