📝 Job Overview

The General Worker will support production and operational activities at the Isando facility by performing physical labour, housekeeping, and quality-related tasks. This role is essential in maintaining efficient production flow, safe working conditions, and compliance with food safety and workplace standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

📋 Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical labour including lifting, carrying, and moving loads up to 25kg

• Stack, pack, and palletise finished products according to operational requirements

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

• Conduct visual inspections of materials and finished products

• Complete quality and inspection documentation when required

• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and protocols

• Adhere strictly to PPE and food safety standards

• Identify, report, and assist in resolving potential safety risks

• Support continuous safety and quality improvement initiatives

🎓 Qualifications

Education

• National Senior Certificate (Matric)

Experience

• Previous manufacturing or general labour experience (advantageous)

Skills

• Physically fit and medically capable of performing manual work

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required

• Strong awareness of safety and hygiene standards

• Reliable and able to follow instructions accurately
