As part of this mission, we are looking for a dynamic, experienced Governance, Compliance & Administration Officer to join our Mgubho Farming Services team in Malelane.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of compliance, legal governance, and administrative excellence across the business. You will directly support the CEO and engage with internal and external stakeholders to uphold policies and procedures that align with RCL FOODS’ core values and compliance framework.


Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant legal or administrative qualification (essential)

  • Compliance Management certification or equivalent

  • 5–8 years’ relevant experience

  • Knowledge of King Codes, Companies Act, and corporate governance

  • Experience in the agricultural sector is a distinct advantage

  • Valid South African driver’s license

  • Excellent contract management and negotiation experience

  • Ability to work independently and handle complex administrative systems

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills

  • High level of computer literacy

  • Must be a South African citizen


🔍 Key Responsibilities

🗂️ Document Management & Administration

  • Maintain a structured document retention system

  • Manage the work plan for Group Companies as guided by the CEO

  • Support the implementation of the Group Compliance Programme

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support, including filing, reporting, and record-keeping

  • Coordinate internal correspondence with external stakeholders

⚖️ Legal & Contract Governance

  • Liaise with the Legal department for compliance and litigation

  • Administer contracts: approval routing, signature management, record-keeping

  • Escalate legal processes appropriately and maintain legal registers

📋 Company Secretarial Functions

  • Liaise with the Group Company Secretary

  • Draft and formalise Board and Committee documentation

  • Maintain governance documentation: Charters, Work Plans, Terms of Reference

  • Attend and document board meetings, handle logistics

✅ Compliance Oversight

  • Develop and maintain Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs)

  • Monitor implementation through collaboration with Internal Audit

  • Report compliance breaches to executive leadership

🏘️ Property & Lease Administration

  • Prepare and manage lease agreements and correspondence

  • Maintain lease registers and filing systems
