At MAHLE Behr South Africa, we are currently looking for a Graduate in Payroll (Finance) to join our team for a 24-month internship program. This role offers a great opportunity for recent graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in payroll processing and finance.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a Graduate in Payroll, you will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll team and contributing to essential finance processes within the company. Your responsibilities will include:

📊 Payroll Administration & Processing:

  • Assist with the accurate processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory submissions and payroll calculations.
  • Provide support in ensuring timely MIBCO online returns and adherence to payroll deadlines.
  • Work alongside skilled professionals to develop and implement payroll-related solutions.

💼 Lean & Analytical Tasks:

  • Utilize Lean methods to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis to address payroll discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Help with data entry and database administration using Microsoft Office.

📚 Learning and Development:

  • Receive coaching and training from experienced professionals to build your payroll and finance expertise.
  • Gain exposure to various HR and finance systems, including SAP.

🤝 Team Collaboration:

  • Work as part of a diverse team of finance professionals, contributing to various projects and collaborating with team members to achieve departmental goals.

Your Skills & Strengths:

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented graduate with the following:

🎓 Educational Requirements:

  • A BComm degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting, or a similar field.
  • You must be a South African Citizen and at least 18 years of age.

💼 Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
  • A strong work ethic with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office tools, especially Excel.
