JOB OVERVIEW

The Handyman role is responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across building infrastructure. The position ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant with Tsebo standards while providing efficient and professional service to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repair and maintain lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and building fixtures

• Conduct routine inspections and accurately log maintenance issues

• Support subcontractors and ensure work complies with safety regulations

• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness

• Complete work orders, reports, and maintenance documentation

• Respond to client queries and escalate issues when required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Matric (NQF Level 4)

• Technical qualification (Advantageous)

Experience

• 2–5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance or a similar environment

Skills

• Proficient in hand and power tools

• Working knowledge of plumbing and basic electrical systems

• Strong time management and organisational skills

• Good customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
