Role Overview

The HC Coordinator at Sanlam will be responsible for managing various aspects of human capital management including recruitment, talent management, learning and development, performance management, remuneration, industrial relations, general HR administration, and providing executive personal assistant support to the Chief Human Capital Officer.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Proofread and complete job requisitions on the myWorkSpace (SAP SuccessFactors) system.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment efforts.
  • Conduct and facilitate interviews, manage contractual arrangements, and issue necessary documentation.
  • Oversee onboarding processes and facilitate new employees’ integration within the company.

Talent Management

  • Align talent management practices with company frameworks, policies, and processes.
  • Facilitate talent review sessions with junior and middle management.
  • Capture and manage talent and succession data on SAP SuccessFactors.

Learning and Development

  • Handle queries from line managers and employees, liaise with the Learning and Development team.
  • Facilitate career conversations, manage training administration, and suggest training interventions.

Performance Management

  • Promote continuous adoption of performance management processes and goal-setting.
  • Assist with the formulation of measurable goals and performance reviews.
  • Support line managers in addressing poor performance.

Remuneration

  • Request and provide remuneration benchmarking information.
  • Facilitate discussions for mid-year benchmark reviews.

Industrial Relations

  • Apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures (e.g., BCEA, LRA).
  • Assist with the interpretation and administration of industrial relations issues.

General HR Administration

  • Handle queries from line managers and employees.
  • Drive adoption of HR technology and manage changes to employment contracts.

Executive Personal Assistant Support

  • Provide executive-level support including diary management, travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, and report compilation.
  • Draft internal communications and prepare PowerPoint presentations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric and relevant HR qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, including Executive PA support.
  • Preferred Experience: Financial Services experience and familiarity with SuccessFactors/SAP.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent organizational and communication skills.
