Capitec Bank is searching for an energetic, self-motivated individual to lead the Securities Management and Administration function in a senior role within our Business Bank’s Credit Strategy. If you are an experienced leader with deep expertise in financial management, credit, commercial law, and contract law, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Capitec’s growth and success in new industries and markets.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead and develop the Securities Management and Administration department
✅ Devise and execute strategies and operating models to support growth and scale in Business Bank’s Credit
✅ Manage relationships with the collections and recoveries department to ensure timely provision of legal agreements and security documentation
✅ Provide insights into Business Bank’s Credit strategy and collaborate to enable the growth of new markets and segments
✅ Oversee legal processes in case of deceased estates, insolvency, and liquidations
✅ Develop and apply frameworks, policies, procedures, and standards to optimize department performance
✅ Lead business planning and ensure adherence to best practices in managing risks while prioritizing client experience

Ideal Candidate:
🔑 Extensive leadership experience in a secured credit environment
🔑 Proven track record in managing large teams and leading transformational projects
🔑 Strategic and operational expertise in fast-moving, dynamic environments
🔑 Strong relationship management skills with a focus on achieving business objectives
🔑 Analytical mindset with the ability to drive operational transformation
🔑 Knowledge of commercial and contract law, along with a thorough understanding of credit and finance regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
✅ Honours Degree in Finance or Accounting – Financial Accounting
✅ 10+ years of senior management experience in a secured credit environment
Preferred Qualifications:
✅ Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting – Financial Accounting
Required Knowledge:
🔍 Expert knowledge in finance, credit principles, commercial law, contract law, and statutory regulations (e.g., Companies Act, National Credit Act)
🔍 Financial management expertise and understanding of accounting principles
🔍 In-depth knowledge of legal entities in the Business Banking market and relevant financial services legislation
🔍 Risk management principles and project management methodologies
🔍 Advanced IT systems and data analysis knowledge
