What You’ll Be Doing
As a Healthcare Consultant, you will act as the main point of contact for your clients, providing technical guidance and hands-on service. Your role will span across:

Managing and retaining a portfolio of clients in the healthcare benefits space.

Developing and delivering educational healthcare programs and induction training.
-
Handling queries, disputes, and ex gratia applications.
-
Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and FAIS Act requirements.
-
Preparing benefit and cost comparisons with actionable recommendations.
-
Staying current on industry and legislative changes and advising clients accordingly.
-
Producing internal and executive reports for stakeholders.
-
Supporting business development efforts by contributing to client growth.
-
Mentoring junior consultants and fostering a collaborative team environment.
What You Bring to the Role
Qualifications & Accreditation:
-
Matric certificate is required.
-
NQF Level 5 qualification in healthcare or healthcare administration.
-
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is an advantage.
-
FAIS representative registration and CMS accreditation.
-
Accreditation with at least 8 medical schemes, 3 gap cover schemes, and 3 occupational health products.
Skills & Experience:
-
3–5 years of experience in healthcare consulting or a similar role.
-
Proven track record of client relationship management and consulting success.
-
Strong knowledge of policy wording and regulatory frameworks.

Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
-
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
