🎯 Role Summary

SPARK Rivonia High seeks a High School FET Mathematical Sciences Educator to teach Mathematics and Mathematical Literacy to Grades 10–12 for the 2025 academic year. This is a temporary full-time position reporting to the Principal or Assistant Principal.

You’ll be responsible for driving student achievement, cultivating a culture of excellence, and delivering rich, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with SPARK’s rigorous standards.

📝 Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mathematics and Maths Lit lessons, both in-person and online.

• Collaborate with subject peers to ensure consistent curriculum delivery.

• Administer regular assessments and analyze learner progress.

• Design interventions for struggling students and extension for high performers.

• Support holistic development through Character Quotient (CQ) sessions.

• Communicate professionally with parents and stakeholders.

• Implement SPARK’s values-based behavior management approach.

• Participate in Saturday school events and parent meetings as needed.

✅ Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or PGCE specializing in Mathematical Sciences (FET).

• 3–5 years of high school teaching experience, ideally including Grade 11 & 12.

• Registered with SACE.

• Clear criminal background check.

• Fluent in English.
