Job Overview

The Capital Hotels is looking for an experienced Hotel Accountant to manage all financial and reporting administration functions at the hotel property.

This role covers a wide range of finance responsibilities across operational departments including housekeeping, front office, facilities, kitchen, procurement, food and beverage, and general administration.

This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals with hospitality finance experience who thrive in fast-paced operational environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all hotel financial administration and reporting
  • Oversee finance-related administrative tasks across departments
  • Support housekeeping and facilities finance administration
  • Manage kitchen and food & beverage financial records
  • Handle front office financial administration
  • Support procurement finance functions
  • Maintain accurate financial reports and reconciliations
  • Assist internal audit processes
  • Support support-office finance operations
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls
  • Maintain accurate Excel-based reports and financial trackers
  • Work closely with operational and hotel staff

Qualifications

Education

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • BCom Accounting / CIMA / CA(SA) qualification preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as:
    • Accountant
    • Assistant Financial Manager
    • Financial Manager
