π― JOB OVERVIEW
The Hotel Receptionist plays a key role in delivering a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure. This position is suited to a confident hospitality professional with strong front office experience, a passion for luxury service, and proven expertise using Opera PMS within a large hotel environment.
π§© KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver warm, professional guest welcomes and first impressions

Manage efficient check-in, check-out, and billing procedures

Respond to guest enquiries, requests, and concerns promptly
-
Maintain service standards aligned with luxury hospitality expectations

Manage reservations, emails, telephone enquiries, and front office administration

Accurately capture guest data and process transactions using Opera PMS
-
Complete detailed shift handovers according to procedures

Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping, Porters, and other hotel departments
π QUALIFICATIONS
Education
-
Matric or equivalent qualification
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 yearsβ hotel reception experience in a large hotel environment
-
Proven experience in a 4 or 5-star hospitality setting
Skills

Opera PMS proficiency (essential)

Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and organisational ability

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

Professional grooming and presentation
