Job Overview

The Housekeeping Attendant will work within the Housekeeping Department to ensure a clean, neat, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The role focuses on delivering a consistently high standard of cleanliness while contributing to an exceptional guest experience through friendly, attentive, and personalised service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across guest rooms and hotel areas

• Ensure rooms and facilities meet hotel presentation standards

• Provide warm, professional, and personalised service to guests

• Support daily housekeeping operations and essential service delivery

• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times

• Work effectively within a team to ensure operational excellence

• Assist with additional housekeeping duties as required

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year’s housekeeping experience in a 4-star hotel or similar environment

Skills & Competencies

• Service-oriented and guest-focused mindset

• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

• Strong work ethic with excellent attendance record

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment

• Teamwork, cooperation, and accountability
