About the Company: MedE Recruit is seeking a skilled HPCSA Registered Dental Assistant to join a high-end Dental Practice in Durbanville, Western Cape. The practice, which offers both skin and dental services, aims to provide an exceptional experience to its patients. It operates as a digital dental practice and emphasizes continuous improvement, learning, and growth.
Job Summary: The HPCSA Registered Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, working at the front desk, and engaging with patients. The practice sees a maximum of five patients per day, allowing for personalized and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the dentist during dental procedures.
- Performing reception duties when not assisting, including managing the front desk.
- Ensuring patients feel comfortable and welcome.
- Communicating effectively with patients and explaining treatment processes.
- Managing time efficiently and demonstrating good organizational skills.
- Maintaining a professional and well-presented demeanor.
- Meeting job targets and adding value to the practice through suggestions and ideas.
- Upholding the high standards of the practice, as reflected in patient reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
- HPCSA Registered Dental Assistant qualification.
- Relevant nursing qualification.
- Experience as a billing clerk with ICD training and anatomy and physiology course certification.
- Knowledge of IDC and CPO coding.
- 3-5 years of experience as a hospital case manager.
- Strong communication skills, both telephonically and via email.
- Professional articulation and good bedside manner.
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
