About the Opportunity

ADvTECH is looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner to join our Trinityhouse division in Roodepoort. As a key member of the HR team, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning HR initiatives with business goals, supporting a high-performance culture, and championing talent development and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Act as a trusted business partner to leadership, aligning HR strategies with organizational objectives.

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive HR plans across talent management, organizational design, and change initiatives.

  • Offer proactive, strategic input to drive people-focused outcomes.

Talent Management & Development

  • Implement performance management frameworks, personal development plans, and coaching/mentorship programs.

  • Design succession plans, and retention strategies for key and scarce skills.

  • Drive organizational change and workforce planning initiatives.

Transformation & Diversity

  • Support Employment Equity and transformation goals aligned with Department of Labour targets.

  • Promote diversity in recruitment, retention, and talent development strategies.

Recruitment, Onboarding & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end talent sourcing strategies, including pipeline building for key skills.

  • Optimize onboarding experiences, ensuring effective integration of new hires.

  • Support organizational design through fit-for-purpose structure planning.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and advise on total rewards strategy.

  • Manage HR budgets, workforce planning, and ensure internal equity in pay.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Provide guidance on labor laws, policies, and disciplinary processes.

  • Cultivate a positive workplace culture through staff wellness and values-based leadership.

  • Address trauma-related employee needs with compassion and support.

HR Analytics & Governance

  • Deliver insightful HR reporting and trend analysis.

  • Ensure HR system data integrity, policy compliance, and legislative adherence.

  • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks.


Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BCom in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology.

  • Honours/Postgraduate in Labour Law or Labour Relations.

  • Business Degree/B-Tech is advantageous.

Experience:

  • 5–8 years in an HR Consultant/Officer capacity.

  • Minimum 3 years in an HR management role.

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR environment with strong stakeholder engagement.
