About the Role

As the HRBP, you’ll serve as a key strategic partner, driving human capital alignment with business objectives. You will influence operational leaders, support culture transformation, enable change, and implement HR best practices across the employee lifecycle. This role is vital in leading talent development, modernizing workforce approaches, and fostering a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

🌟 Strategic Partnership & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with regional/plant managers to align HR strategy with business objectives.

  • Develop future staffing plans and monitor strategy effectiveness.

  • Co-create and implement change initiatives aligned with strategic goals.

🎯 Talent Attraction & Performance

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, ensuring the right talent fits the business culture.

  • Implement performance management systems and talent metrics.

  • Drive succession planning and employment equity initiatives.

📈 Learning & Development

  • Identify and address training needs via coaching, mentoring, and structured learning.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and their business impact.

🔁 Modernisation & Change Management

  • Champion innovative HR practices and workforce redesign.

  • Lead key change projects and ensure benefits are realized and embedded.

  • Facilitate staff involvement and manage change communication.

🤝 Employee & Industrial Relations

  • Manage employee relations issues, misconduct, grievances, and conflict resolution.

  • Collaborate with unions, works councils, and external regulatory bodies.

💼 Coaching & Leadership Development

  • Coach and equip line managers with tools for team leadership and growth.

  • Strengthen people management capabilities across the plant/region.

📊 Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate HR data and ensure statutory compliance.

  • Deliver strategic HR reports and workforce analytics.


Key Relationships

  • Internal: Employees, Line Managers, HR Team

  • External: Unions, Labour Auditors, Regulatory Bodies


Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resource Management.

  • Valid Code EB Driver’s License.

  • Minimum of 5 years as an HR generalist, with 1 year in an advisory role.
