🎯 Key Purpose of the Role
As an HR Generalist, you’ll support our HR team in delivering comprehensive human capital services across our division. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning departmental goals with Discovery’s People Policies, streamlining processes, and ensuring a world-class HR experience for all stakeholders.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🔹 Recruitment & Onboarding

Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding

Draft HR documentation, employment contracts, and new hire packs

Maintain job profiles and specifications

Administer pre-employment checks and assessments
-
Ensure smooth candidate experience and onboarding transitions
🔹 HR Analytics & Reporting

Deliver reports on transformation, engagement, recruitment, succession planning, and more

Maintain data accuracy and compile quality stats for audits
🔹 Service Excellence & Process Improvement

Recommend policies for improved efficiency

Serve as a liaison between HR and business units
🔹 Payroll & Remuneration

Conduct benchmarking and support salary review processes

Provide payroll with necessary employee updates
🔹 HR Strategy & Support

Contribute to HR projects and strategic initiatives

Monitor key people trends and present business insights via dashboards
🔹 General HR Administration

Support line managers with HR policies and queries

Maintain employee records and manage HR mailbox/calendar

Handle stay and exit interviews, and generate HR letters

Technically proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office

🎓 Education & Experience

Qualification: A 3-year degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or related

Experience: 3–5 years in a human resources role

Systems: Knowledge of SmartPeople, SuccessFactors, and SharePoint

Tech Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Strong understanding of HR policies, IR practices, and the full HR value chain
