Job Overview:
As an HR Intern at Stryker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the HR Specialist by implementing and coordinating various HR tasks and projects. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the success of the organization while developing your HR skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
✔ Coordinate a seamless induction and onboarding program for new employees.
✔ Prepare contracts, offer letters, and comprehensive employment packages for new hires.
✔ Organize and support quarterly meetings such as talent reviews and employee engagement sessions.
✔ Handle employee recognition initiatives, such as Long Service Awards.
✔ Assist in recruitment by scheduling interviews for HR managers and Directors.
✔ Manage Strengths Finder reviews and assist in HR-related training preparations.
HR Systems Management:
✔ Ensure 100% data integrity in HR systems and manage employee records.
✔ Provide necessary documentation and reports for audits and HR-related statistics.
✔ Maintain holiday and sickness records using AXIA.
Payroll Administration:
✔ Assist the HR Specialist in managing the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with South African regulations and SOX.
Project Coordination:
✔ Lead compensation surveys and events such as Employee Appreciation Week.
✔ Organize wellness programs and promote employee assistance initiatives.
✔ Oversee the transition of hard copy employee files to digital systems.
General Administration:
✔ Perform day-to-day HR administrative tasks including probationary period management and equipment tracking.
✔ Coordinate temporary staff requirements for various departments.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
✔ A degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred)
✔ Ideally, a South African citizen
✔ Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
✔ Knowledge of AXIA (preferred)

✔ Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
✔ A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving
✔ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
