🎯 What You’ll Be Responsible For

✔ Localize and implement ALPLA’s global HR strategies to meet South African business needs
✔ Partner with the Head of HR, Southern Africa to ensure strategic HR alignment
✔ Lead the HR function while ensuring compliance with company policies and South African labor legislation
✔ Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and EE-compliant talent acquisition
✔ Collaborate with managers to forecast staffing needs and enhance hiring plans
✔ Manage employee relations, handle disciplinary actions, and resolve labor disputes
✔ Represent the company at CCMA proceedings
✔ Support performance management processes and goal setting
✔ Promote career development, training, and succession planning initiatives
✔ Ensure competitive and equitable compensation & benefits packages
✔ Drive wellness programs and employee engagement initiatives
✔ Align HR practices with HSE standards for a safe and compliant workplace
✔ Promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and lead EE plan development
✔ Maintain HR data integrity and generate workforce analytics & reporting

🎓 What Makes You a Great Fit

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
✅ Postgraduate qualification is a plus
✅ 8–10 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
✅ Experience in the manufacturing or plastics industry is advantageous
✅ Certified by the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP)
✅ Proficient in HRIS systems and payroll software
