About the Role: HR Manager
We’re on the lookout for a forward-thinking Human Resources Manager to join our Corporate & Employee Benefits division. In this strategic role, you’ll manage the full employee lifecycle while partnering closely with leaders to optimise employee engagement, transformation initiatives, and HR operations.
As an HR Manager at Discovery, you’ll serve as a change agent and business partner, ensuring that the organisation attracts, retains, and develops top talent in alignment with our innovation-driven goals.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the performance management cycle and support business units with timely feedback and goal alignment.

Implement and drive employee engagement strategies through staff engagement sessions.

Oversee and manage transformation initiatives and report on B-BBEE and diversity KPIs.

Provide expert guidance on Industrial Relations (IR) and employee relations matters.

Assess and align workforce capabilities with evolving business needs through skills development planning.

Conduct onboarding sessions and gather feedback for trend analysis and improvement.

Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning and leadership development forums.

Train line managers and employees on core HR processes and tools.

Facilitate exit processes and implement insights from exit interviews.

Interpret HR analytics to inform business decisions and mitigate people-related risks.

Promote best practices and stay abreast of the latest HR trends and legislation.

Serve as an advisor and coach to leaders and employees.

Advanced: Communication, Innovation, Negotiation, Problem-Solving, Relationship Management

Expert: HR Consulting

Advanced Knowledge Of: Labour law, HR metrics and analytics, HR strategy, and current HR trends
Qualifications & Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree or 3-year equivalent qualification (required)

Postgraduate qualification in HR or related field (advantageous)

Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, with at least 2 years at a managerial level

Previous HR experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable
