π About the Role
A leading national FMCG wholesale company is on the hunt for an experienced Human Resources Manager to spearhead its HR division. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and operational HR professional who is passionate about aligning human capital with business performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing people strategies that drive business growth, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with labour laws and policies.
π Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.

Oversee the daily operations of the HR department, including HR administration, Industrial Relations (IR), Training & Development, and Payroll.

Identify organizational change needs and create policies to support transitions.

Ensure compliance with labour laws and update internal HR policies accordingly.

Monitor HR risks and suggest risk mitigation strategies.
-
Promote and manage employee wellbeing initiatives.
-
Lead capacity planning to ensure the right talent at the right time.
-
Maintain and optimize HR systems and admin processes.
-
Advise senior management on disciplinary issues, grievances, and performance management.

Manage the HR and training budgets effectively.
-
Prepare labour legislation reports (EE, Skills Development, Stats SA, etc.).

Conduct monthly HR and payroll analysis and present to senior leadership.

Drive socio-economic development projects and CSR initiatives.

Maintain and analyze the HR dashboard for insights and reporting.

Align compensation and benefits strategies with company objectives.

Implement talent management and succession planning frameworks.

Handle conflict resolution and employee relations across departments.
-
Represent the company at CCMA proceedings as required.
β Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate (or equivalent)

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management is essential

Postgraduate degree or specialization in HR (preferred)

5+ yearsβ experience in a senior HR generalist or management role

Strong knowledge of labour legislation and HR best practices

Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Strong HR analytics skills and experience using HR dashboards

Experience using payroll software (PaySpace preferred)

Proven track record in HR policy development, IR, and strategic planning

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
