Job Overview

The Human Resources Manager will support the daily operations of the HR department, overseeing recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and compliance. The role focuses on delivering effective HR services that align with business objectives while ensuring adherence to labour laws and company policies.

This position is ideal for candidates with HR experience who want to grow within the hospitality industry while contributing to employee engagement and organisational success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring employees.

  • Build relationships with external recruitment partners and attend job fairs.

  • Oversee candidate selection processes and ensure fair hiring practices.

  • Administer employee benefits and manage unemployment claims processes.

  • Coordinate employee onboarding and training programmes.

  • Ensure employees receive the necessary tools and training to perform effectively.

  • Maintain strong employee relations and communication channels.

  • Handle employee concerns using an open-door policy and escalate when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, labour laws, and internal procedures.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality.

  • Participate in safety committees and support workplace safety initiatives.

  • Manage workers’ compensation claims and employee wellbeing processes.


Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma / GED with 3 years HR or related experience,

OR

  • 2-year qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 1 year relevant experience.

Experience

  • Experience in human resources, recruitment, or employee relations.

  • Exposure to hospitality HR operations is advantageous.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and recruitment practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of labour laws and compliance requirements.

  • Organisational and administrative skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
