Job Overview
The Department of Human Resource Management invites applications for a Lecturer position. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, postgraduate supervision, research output, and engagement within the fields of Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management.
This role requires a balance of academic scholarship, professional registration, and student-focused engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Lecture at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Supervise postgraduate students and Industrial Psychology internships.

Conduct scientific research and publish in accredited journals.

Engage with students, academic peers, and industry stakeholders.

Participate in departmental academic and administrative activities.
Qualifications
🎓 Education
-
Completed Master’s Degree with specialisation in Industrial Psychology.

Registered with the HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist.
-
Evidence of a research component (publication, conference paper, book chapter, or equivalent).

Enrolled or applied for a relevant doctoral qualification (Advantageous).
💼 Experience
-
Demonstrated teaching potential or relevant industry experience.
-
Experience supervising postgraduate research (Advantageous).

Experience lecturing large groups and blended learning exposure (Preferred).

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
