Unitrans is seeking an experienced Human Capital Consultant to deliver tactical, advisory, and operational HR support across multiple sites or business clusters. In this role, you’ll translate business needs into people solutions while ensuring compliance, performance, and long-term growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic HC Advisory & Implementation

  • Partner with line managers and leadership to implement human capital strategies.

  • Provide guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.

  • Translate business objectives into actionable HR solutions.

Talent Management & Workforce Planning

  • Drive talent reviews and succession planning.

  • Help identify and develop high-potential individuals.

  • Ensure effective workforce planning aligned with operational goals.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Analyse engagement data and recommend improvement strategies.

  • Champion values alignment, inclusivity, and a positive workplace culture.

  • Drive Employee Value Proposition (EVP) initiatives.

Performance & Development

  • Support managers in goal setting, reviews, and feedback processes.

  • Partner with L&D to identify gaps and recommend training initiatives.

Organisational Effectiveness

  • Assist in job analysis and competency model development.

  • Support restructuring and change management at the site level.

HC Operational Execution

  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee records.

  • Coordinate recruitment and liaise with payroll/shared services for HR transactions.

Labour Relations / ER & IR

  • Advise on labour matters and ensure compliance with company policy and legislation.

  • Support union engagements, hearings, grievances, and disciplinary processes.

  • Maintain accurate ER/IR documentation and reporting.

Data & Analytics

  • Monitor workforce metrics (e.g., absenteeism, turnover).

  • Provide insights and reports to drive leadership decisions.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead site-level rollouts of HR initiatives and projects.

  • Manage local communications, logistics, and change activities.


What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR generalist or consulting role.

  • 2–3 years in HR business partnering preferred.

  • Strong understanding of labour legislation and HR practices.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

  • Willingness to travel between operational sites.
