Internship Overview
The Human Capital Management Internship offers hands-on administrative exposure within the HCM department. Interns will support core HR administrative functions, records management, departmental coordination, and internal communication processes.
This internship is well suited to graduates pursuing careers in Human Resources, Public Administration, or Organisational Development, providing foundational experience in public-sector HR operations.
Key Responsibilities

Provide full administrative support to the Human Capital Management department

Maintain effective filing systems across all HCM functional streams

Assist with general administration, including typing of meeting minutes

Arrange appointments and support departmental scheduling
-
Develop, update, and maintain departmental filing systems
-
Process travel-related documentation for the department
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental records
-
Uphold a professional image and positive working environment
-
Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
-
Receive, record, and distribute departmental correspondence
-
Ensure delivery of important documents on behalf of the department

Screen all visitors to the HCM department

Collate and manage departmental meeting minutes

Assist with the compilation and distribution of meeting agendas
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
-
National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification (minimum NQF Level 4)

National Diploma or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6) in:

Human Resources

Public Administration
-
Or a related field

Strong administrative and organisational skills

High level of confidentiality and professionalism

Effective written and verbal communication skills
