Now, we are seeking a talented Human Capital Operations and Compliance Manager to drive strategic HR functions within the company.
Job Purpose
The Human Capital Operations and Compliance Manager will oversee the successful execution of HR strategies and processes aimed at driving an efficient and optimal employee experience. This role is crucial to the company’s mission of building a high-performance culture by ensuring the implementation of new policies, optimizing HR systems, and working closely with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and CoEs to improve HR processes and systems.
- Drive transformation by supporting talent acquisition, administration, and organizational goals.
- Identify key HR trends that impact business objectives and advise on necessary changes.
✅ Policy Development & Implementation
- Develop, review, and implement company policies and procedures in alignment with HR best practices.
- Maximize operational efficiency by eliminating non-value-added processes and focusing on improvements.
- Lead HR projects and guide business leaders in aligning workforce practices with organizational culture.
✅ Talent Management
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to attract top talent and oversee talent management initiatives.
- Lead performance management practices, including talent reviews, performance improvement plans, and staffing solutions.
- Drive organizational culture change and build team capabilities for future growth.
✅ Employee Relations Management
- Investigate complex employee relations issues and recommend solutions.
- Oversee legal case management, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and improve the company’s approach to employee relations and engagement.
✅ Transformation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment equity (EE) legislation, managing reputational risks effectively.
- Drive transformation initiatives and engage stakeholders to develop and implement EE strategies.
- Communicate regulatory updates and best practices to leadership and employees.
✅ Leadership & Team Development
- Inspire and lead a team of HR professionals, motivating them to meet high-performance standards.
- Provide mentorship, career planning, and coaching to ensure continuous employee growth.
- Act as a role model, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with company values.
Behavioral & Technical Competencies
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex HR scenarios.
- Strong understanding of legislation, such as BCEA, EEA, LRA, and SDA.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of influencing across all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in data analysis, HR metrics, and applying strategic business acumen to organizational needs.
Qualifications & Experience
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
💼 Experience:
- 10+ years in a Human Resources role, with a deep focus on employee relations and compliance.
- 6+ years of experience in leading HR teams and driving organizational transformation.
- Extensive experience in policy development, talent management, and performance improvement strategies.
