Job Overview

The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function. This internship offers structured workplace exposure across key HR areas, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and skills development, making it ideal for graduates seeking practical HR experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes until vacancies are filled

  • Support the development and administration of Work Skills Plans

  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits

  • Provide administrative support for the Agency’s bursary programme

  • Support the Employee Relations Specialist with grievance and disciplinary processes

  • Coordinate and compile human resources reports

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:

    • Human Resources Management

    • Labour Relations

    • Industrial Psychology

Experience

  • No prior work experience required

  • Suitable for students or recent graduates

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic understanding of:

    • Labour Relations Act

    • Basic Conditions of Employment Act

    • Employment Equity Act

  • Administrative accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work confidentially with employee information
