PPC Group is seeking a dynamic Human Resource Officer to join our Rosebank office. Reporting to the Human Resource Business Partner, this role blends strategic and operational HR responsibilities to ensure consistent, high-quality HR services across the organisation.

The HR Officer will play a vital role in talent attraction, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and compliance with South African labour legislation. You will act as a key liaison between employees, management, and the broader HR team while fostering a positive, productive workplace culture.


πŸ› οΈ Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on company HR policies, benefits, and procedures to all employees

  • Extract and analyse HR reports to inform management decisions

  • Partner with business units to deliver HR solutions and strategic insights

  • Consolidate HR data and provide data-driven recommendations

  • Manage onboarding and induction programs for new employees

  • Support employee hiring, selection, and recruitment processes

  • Coordinate employee relations matters and CCMA cases

  • Respond to employee HR queries promptly and effectively

  • Champion HR process improvements, system enhancements, and organizational change initiatives


πŸŽ“ Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Human Resource Management (NQF 6 or higher)

  • Experience: 3–5 years of HR generalist experience across core HR functions

  • Systems Knowledge: Minimum 2 years’ experience with SAP HR (Compensation, ESS, MSS)

  • Legislation: Strong knowledge of South African labour law, including LRA, BCEA, EEA, and Skills Development Act

  • Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong analytical and data interpretation skills

  • Employee Benefits: Familiarity with employee benefits administration is an advantage
