The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) is offering a 24-month ICT Internship Programme at its Head Office in Midrand, Waterfall. Key Responsibilities
As an ICT Intern at RSR, you will have the opportunity to:
💻 Support IT Infrastructure & Systems
- Assist in maintaining and improving the RSR’s internal IT systems and infrastructure.
- Help with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
🔧 Gain Exposure to IT Support Functions
- Provide technical support to staff, resolving IT-related issues and ensuring smooth operations.
- Assist in ensuring the security and functionality of IT systems and networks.
📊 Engage in Projects and System Upgrades
- Contribute to ongoing projects related to IT development and system enhancements.
- Help in implementing software updates and system upgrades to ensure efficiency and security.
📝 Document IT Procedures and Reports
- Support the documentation of IT processes, systems, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and project progress.

📜 Qualifications
- A National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A Postgraduate Qualification will be advantageous.
🇿🇦 Eligibility Criteria
- South African Citizenship is required.
- First-time internship participants: You must not have previously participated in any internship programme at any public or private institution.
- Required documents for application:
- A cover letter
- Certified copies of your Identity Document
- Certified copies of your qualifications
- A certified copy of your academic record, reflecting a 65% average in your final year of study
- SAQA accreditation (if applicable for foreign qualifications)
