Job Opportunity: ICT Support
Job Purpose:
The role of ICT Support at Rosebank College is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our technological infrastructure. This position focuses on providing comprehensive technical assistance and support across computer systems, hardware, and software. Responsibilities include promptly addressing user inquiries, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, and escalating complex matters to senior ICT personnel. The ICT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our IT services, directly impacting the overall educational experience of our students and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users for hardware and software issues, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
- Configure new machines for staff and students using WDS or SCCM, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for both staff and students, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Manage password and general account operations, ensuring security and accessibility.
- Update and resolve service calls through the Service Desk, maintaining accurate records and timely responses.
- Perform administrative support tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the ICT department.
- Generate and submit weekly reports, such as TAR and morning checks, providing valuable insights and updates.
- Deploy student software across the network, ensuring all applications are operational and accessible.
- Verify readiness of digital venues for the upcoming day, ensuring all technology is functioning properly.
Minimum Requirements:
- Higher Certificate / Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF Level 5) / A+ / N+.
- Advanced Certificate / Diploma / Occupational Certificate (NQF Level 6) in CCNA1 / MCSE / MCTIP (Preferred).
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
- Availability to work on Saturdays.
