As an Industrial Engineer I, you will provide critical support to the Regional Operations & Asset Services (RO&AS) to help meet business targets and align with Sasol’s long-term strategy. This role focuses on continuous improvement, operational optimization, and strategic asset lifecycle management.

Leverage industrial engineering skills to rationalize, optimize, and enhance production and non-production processes.

Identify, investigate, and implement practical solutions to improve business performance.

Contribute to establishing a standardized approach for strategic asset lifecycle and drive improvement plans.
📊 Governance & Compliance:

Assure operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide effective solutions for integrating an Improvement System (IIS) across the operations hub.

Monitor and inform operational optimization opportunities aligned with targets and schedules.
🎯 Leadership & Strategic Direction:

Identify and evaluate improvement opportunities, providing actionable solutions for sustainable implementation.

Coach and mentor Engineers in Training (EITs), sharing expertise and knowledge to build the next generation of engineers.

Collaborate with operations management to ensure the successful implementation of improvement strategies.
🌱 People Management & Development:

Support operations excellence and asset management practices.

Provide guidance to EITs, offer career development through bursaries and Graduate Development Program (GDP).

Foster knowledge transfer and professional growth within the team.

Participate in communities of practice to drive operations standards, performance measurement, and energy efficiency.

Use system and process intelligence to guide operational optimization and demonstrate the impact of implemented improvements.

Report identified risks and maintain safety standards to prevent injuries.
Minimum Requirements:
✔️ B.Eng. Industrial Engineering degree (Required).
✔️ At least 3 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering projects.
✔️ Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and planning abilities.
✔️ Ability to manage complexity, assess alternatives, and implement solutions.
✔️ Experience in optimization, compliance management, and operational efficiency.
✔️ A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
