Bryson Charitable Group is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Bryson Pathways Children’s Service as an Intensive Family Support Worker. This role is focused on providing targeted support to families with children and young people aged 0–17 who are facing significant challenges. If you’re passionate about working directly with families to help them manage everyday life and overcome obstacles, this position could be perfect for you.
The role involves providing emotional and practical support, as well as offering flexible out-of-hours visits to help families navigate their challenges. You’ll be a key part of a team working to improve family resilience and strengthen family connections through structured, outcome-driven interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and support to parents, assisting in the development of effective parenting techniques.

Help families establish consistent daily routines (e.g., mealtimes, bedtimes, schoolwork) and address behavioural issues in a constructive manner.

Work closely with children and families to address complex needs, improving resilience, and fostering stronger family connections.

Implement tailored interventions to achieve measurable, positive outcomes and monitor progress.

Manage a small caseload of families, providing in-home support for up to 12 weeks, customized to each family’s needs.

Participate in case reviews, planning meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions to ensure effective, coordinated support.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings with families and other professionals.
Essential Requirements:

QCF Level 3 Child Care qualification or equivalent.

At least 1 year of paid experience working with children or families.

5 GCSEs, including English Language.

Experience in planning and facilitating group activities.

Insight into the challenges facing families under stress.

Knowledge of practical aspects of family life and problem-solving.

A clean driver’s licence and access to your own transport are required.
