The Intermediate Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising automated workflows that streamline business operations across multiple systems. This role sits at the intersection of IT, data engineering, and business process improvement β ideal for a highly technical problem-solver who enjoys delivering measurable value through automation.
You will lead medium-complexity automation projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure all solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business requirements. This position offers the opportunity to own large automation initiatives end-to-end, especially high-impact accounts payable and cross-system integrations.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities
πΉ Automation Design & Development

Build an end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) automation system capable of ingesting PDFs, extracting data using OCR/LLMs, validating against the ERP through APIs, and triggering payment approvals with zero manual intervention.

Create intelligent workflows that integrate across multiple business systems (Finance, E-commerce, CRM, etc.) to remove duplication, reduce errors, and improve processing time.

Replace manual verification steps with automated, real-time cross-system validations via APIs.
πΉ Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis

Collaborate with business process owners to identify automation opportunities and define business needs.

Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and automation blueprints.

Present ROI analysis to justify automation benefits and help prioritise initiatives.
πΉ Project Delivery & Governance

Ensure all deployed automations meet compliance, quality, and security standards.

Produce detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, dashboards, and KPI tracking reports.

Act as the link between Business and IT teams during solution rollout and adoption.

π Minimum Requirements

Bachelorβs Degree: Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

3β5 years of experience in RPA development or automation engineering

Solid experience with:

Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript scripting
