Job Overview

The Intermediate BI Developer will design, build, and optimise business intelligence and data warehousing solutions, with a strong focus on the Snowflake platform and Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of BI solutions, including data wrangling, modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and dashboard development, while collaborating with senior developers and architects.

This role is ideal for experienced professionals passionate about data engineering, analytics, and BI development in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise data solutions using Snowflake.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse.
• Design and implement data warehouses and dimensional models (Kimball methodology).
• Create Power BI dashboards and self-service data models.
• Use Snowpark APIs for advanced data processing and ML workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and lineage across systems.
• Participate in BI solution architecture and technical decision-making.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD processes for data solutions.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Or related field

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years experience in:
  • Data wrangling and analysis
  • Data warehousing and dimensional modelling
• Proven experience building BI solutions and pipelines in production environments

Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modelling
• Experience with Snowflake and Snowpark
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft BI stack
• Strong knowledge of Power BI and DAX
• Experience with Python, Java, or Scala (advantageous)
• Understanding of data governance, data lineage, and MDM
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub workflows
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
