Position Overview
As a Software Engineer Intern at Capitec Bank, you will be exposed to a variety of technical projects, gaining valuable experience while working alongside a team of talented professionals. The internship is aimed at students who have recently completed a tertiary qualification and are looking to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting.
This role is based at our Head Office in Stellenbosch, and we are looking for individuals who are available to work at this location.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Assist in Software Development: Collaborate with the development team to support ongoing projects, assist with coding, testing, and debugging.
✔ Problem Solving: Participate in troubleshooting and resolving software-related issues.
✔ Exposure to Agile Practices: Learn how to work in an Agile environment and contribute to the development of software solutions.
✔ Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to enhance software functionality and performance.
✔ Enhance Employability: Develop essential skills in software engineering, including coding, problem-solving, and software testing.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Tertiary Qualification: Must have a relevant qualification in Information Technology (e.g., BSc in IT, BCom in Computer Science) completed within the last 3 years.
✅ No prior work experience required, but any internship or work experience in a relevant field would be advantageous.
✅ Basic understanding of office tools: Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
✅ Salesforce Exposure: Certification or exposure to Salesforce would be a plus.
✅ Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and quality in all aspects of work.
✅ Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
✅ Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship management and teamwork skills.
