Job Overview

BME is seeking an International Logistics Coordinator to manage the end-to-end logistics process, including order processing, stock management, and export/import documentation. The role ensures efficient coordination of international shipments while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong logistics experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels across plants and warehouses.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials and finished products.
  • Schedule deliveries and ensure timely product movement.
  • Prepare and manage export and import documentation, including permits and clearance certificates.
  • Track shipments and monitor deviations from operational plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legislative, and SHERQ requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide logistics support and advice to internal teams and country managers.
  • Collaborate with departments such as sales, finance, and operations.
  • Support logistics projects and initiatives to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Project Management qualification is advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Logistics Coordinator.
  • Experience in warehouse or logistics environments.
  • Experience managing international shipments and documentation.

Skills

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics systems (e.g., Microsoft AX).
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking ability.
  • Knowledge of distribution and supply chain principles.
  • Understanding of MRP planning and transport management systems.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and cross-border logistics.
  • Familiarity with road transport regulations and contractual terms (SLAs).
