Available Internship Opportunities:
1. Municipal Finance Intern (1 Post)
Directorate: Budget & Treasury
Duration: 2-year fixed term contract
Stipend: R100,000 per annum
Reference: NOTICE NO: 09/2024/2025
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
-
3-year Degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Internal Auditing, or equivalent (Accounting III compulsory)

Advanced computer literacy

Basic knowledge of local government operations

Strong academic performance in related studies

2. Human Resources Management Intern (1 Post)
Directorate: Corporate Services
Duration: 1-year fixed term contract
Stipend: R48,027.24 per annum
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)

3-year Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management, Personnel Management, or a related field

Computer literacy and good communication skills

3. Work Integrated Learning / In-Service Training (Various Posts)

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a student from a registered institution under the Department of Higher Education & Training

Must have completed all theoretical modules
-
Must submit a letter from the institution confirming the need for in-service training

Must reside within the Umzimvubu Local Municipality’s jurisdiction (Mount Frere, KwaBhaca, Mount Ayliff – EmaXesibeni)

Proof of residence from a ward councillor is required
