Job Overview

The Investment Reporting Intern will support the Investment Reporting and Middle Office functions within the Balance Sheet Management environment. This internship offers hands-on exposure to financial reporting, valuation, portfolio accounting, and product control activities, particularly for instruments managed on the Murex trading platform.

This opportunity is ideal for finance or accounting graduates who are detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop practical experience in investment reporting and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with statutory, tax, management, SARB, portfolio accounting, and trade desk reporting
Support valuation and product control activities for investment trades and instruments
Resolve reporting and data queries from internal stakeholders, including actuarial teams
Perform data cleaning, validation, and management across multiple reporting sources
Work with SQL-based reports and support basic scripting and automation initiatives
Assist with middle-office automation projects, documentation, and testing
Stay informed on market developments, regulatory updates, and industry best practices
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and collaboration

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or BCom Accounting

Experience

No prior work experience required
