JOB OVERVIEW
Reddam House Constantia, a top-performing IEB school situated in the Constantia Valley, is seeking a passionate and skilled College IT Teacher to join its College team on a part-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Academics, the successful candidate will lead IT teaching across Grades 10 to 12, playing a key role in developing digitally confident and future-ready learners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IEB-aligned IT lessons for Grades 10–12

Lead the progression and development of IT within the College phase

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes deep learning
-
Set, mark, and moderate assessments and examinations effectively
-
Write clear, constructive, and professional learner reports
-
Fulfil Tutor Teacher duties, providing pastoral care and learner support
-
Ensure effective use and functionality of school systems, including iSAMS
-
Reflect on teaching practice and implement continuous improvement strategies
-
Meet all academic planning, assessment, and reporting deadlines

Contribute positively to the wider school community and academic team
-
Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by school leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
-
Recognised teaching qualification
-
SACE registration (mandatory)
-
Legal right to work in South Africa
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years’ successful teaching experience at senior school level (Grades 10–12)

Proven experience teaching IT or Computer Science within an IEB or similar curriculum
Skills
-
Strong subject knowledge in IT / Computer Science
-
Confident coding ability (e.g. Python, Java, web technologies)

Competence in using school information systems such as iSAMS
-
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
-
Collaborative mindset with a growth-oriented approach to teaching
