Brights Hardware is looking for an experienced IT Technical Support Specialist (Hardware Focus) to join our growing team in Brackenfell. In this critical role, you’ll maintain, deploy, and manage our IT hardware infrastructure, ensuring seamless business operations across retail systems and teams.


πŸ”§ Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Management: Maintain and manage all IT hardware assets – desktops, servers, peripherals, and network equipment.

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify and resolve hardware issues through diagnosis, maintenance, and repair procedures.

  • Hardware Deployment: Configure and install new hardware and software to integrate with existing systems.

  • Inventory Control: Track and document hardware inventory, location, usage, and configurations to optimize asset management.

  • End-User Support: Assist employees with hardware-related issues and queries, ensuring minimal downtime and fast resolution.

  • Security Compliance: Implement and monitor IT security measures to safeguard hardware from unauthorized access or breaches.


πŸŽ“ Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent

  • NQF-aligned IT qualification (Higher Certificate, Diploma, or Degree)

  • CompTIA N+ and A+ certifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT network design and management

  • 3 years in the retail industry (hardware retail preferred)

  • Familiarity with Kerridge ERP systems (advantageous)

  • Experience with Microsoft 365

  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills

  • Ability to resolve complex IT issues and manage escalations

  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills

  • Accuracy, ethical work habits, and sound decision-making

  • Ability to mentor, lead teams, and manage expectations
