Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide direct support to internal and external users via phone, email, or network interaction. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.

  • System and Network Installation: Install, configure, and maintain ICT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, data projectors, and more to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

  • Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor and evaluate ICT systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and policies. Conduct audits to maintain the accuracy of technology resources and asset registers.

  • User Management: Set up new users, create accounts, and manage access permissions for various IT systems used within the organization.

  • Network Support: Provide first-level network troubleshooting, addressing and resolving networking issues swiftly or escalating when necessary.

  • Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintain and repair all company hardware, including desktops, laptops, and printers. Oversee inventory, ensuring all assets are tracked and prepared for disposal when required.

  • Security Management: Assist in the implementation of security protocols to protect the organization’s data and systems, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity measures.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members to foster a positive, efficient, and communicative work environment. Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data management, hardware and software support, and IT troubleshooting.

  • Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.

    • CompTIA A+ Certification.

    • CompTIA Network+ Certification.

    • Valid driver’s license.

    • Degree or Diploma in an ICT-related field (preferred).

    • CompTIA Security+ Certification.

    • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) Certification.

    • CCNA or Fortinet NSE4-7 certification (advantageous).

  • Skills & Competencies:

    • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols.

    • Excellent troubleshooting abilities for both hardware and software issues.

    • Knowledge of network infrastructure and the ability to resolve related issues.

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Other:

    • Must be able to perform administrative duties including reporting and auditing of IT equipment.

    • Willingness to continuously learn and develop within the field of IT support.

    • Ability to work outside regular hours when necessary.
