The IT Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the company’s IT infrastructure runs smoothly. You’ll be responsible for first-line support, hardware/software setup, network troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of IT systems, all under the guidance of the IT Manager.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, connectivity issues, and application malfunctions.

• Support the onboarding of new employees by setting up workstations and required software.

• Maintain up-to-date asset registers and assist in inventory tracking of IT equipment.

• Perform regular system maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel.

• Assist with antivirus installations, system backups, and routine software updates.

• Promote IT best practices and conduct basic training on cybersecurity awareness.

• Ensure adherence to IT compliance, security protocols, and company policies.

🧠 Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an IT-related support role.

• Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.

• Familiarity with computer hardware setup and troubleshooting methods.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills—team player mindset.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

• Bonus: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar certifications.
