💼 Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Legal Advisor to provide legal advice and support to multiple business units within Momentum Retail. This role ensures legal soundness, manages legal risks, and assists with contract drafting, litigation matters, and corporate legal operations.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on corporate, commercial, and insurance law matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.

• Assist with litigation management and execution of legal documents in accordance with industry requirements.

• Advise business stakeholders on contractual matters involving clients and suppliers.

• Anticipate and mitigate legal risks by reviewing business processes and documentation.

• Keep business units informed about legislative changes and their potential impact.

• Conduct legal research, interpret legislation and case law, and provide well-reasoned legal opinions.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure service level agreements are met while delivering exceptional client service.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and legal processes.

📋 Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.

• Admitted Attorney.

• Postgraduate qualification (advantageous).

• 1–3 years’ experience in financial services and/or legal advisory.

• Proven contract drafting and negotiation experience.
