Job Overview
The Junior Receptionist will serve as the front-of-house representative for the client, ensuring exceptional workplace management and customer service standards. This role is responsible for welcoming visitors, managing reception operations, supporting facility coordination, and maintaining a professional and hospitable environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Centricity

Deliver the highest level of customer service to clients, visitors, and guests

Investigate and resolve complaints promptly and escalate to the Receptionist Supervisor

Monitor daily facility activities to ensure optimal visitor experience

Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes
-
Report daily operational issues and improvement opportunities
Operational Management
-
Assist in implementing and monitoring reception best practices
-
Coordinate client expectations for daily, weekly, and monthly events
-
Manage meeting rooms, demo rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, stationery, and consumables
-
Operate and monitor telecommunications systems and switchboard services
-
Attend scheduled meetings with the Receptionist Supervisor

Ensure smooth handovers between colleagues across buildings
-
Log client requests and escalate unresolved issues through approved systems
Reporting
-
Report directly to the Receptionist Supervisor

Compile accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports

Record complaints, compliments, client feedback, and headcounts

Track and report on:

Telecommunication statistics

Client consumables usage and improvement opportunities

Qualifications
Education
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Tertiary qualification in Hospitality (advantageous)
Experience
-
2–3 years’ experience in a Front-of-House, Receptionist, Concierge, or Customer Services role
-
Exposure to soft services (cleaning, hygiene, indoor plants) is advantageous
