Overview:
ClearLeaf, an innovative and growing company, is excited to welcome a dedicated Junior Accountant to our team. As an essential contributor, you will work alongside the Financial Controller, managing daily accounting tasks. We seek individuals with a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong numerical skills, and an unwavering attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Transaction Recording: Meticulously post and process journal entries to ensure the precise recording of all business transactions.
- Comprehensive Accounts Management: Update accounts receivable, issue invoices promptly, and manage accounts payable with detailed reconciliations.
- Financial Statement Processing: Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in adherence to legal and company guidelines.
- Thorough Expense Review: Conduct a detailed review of expenses, payroll records, and assigned tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Data Accuracy Maintenance: Maintain the accuracy of financial data in databases, ensuring immediate availability for informed decision-making.
- Insightful Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly/monthly reports, providing vital insights for strategic planning.
- Collaborative Closings: Collaborate with the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
- Proactive Project Contributions: Actively contribute to various accounting projects, showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach.
Qualifications:
- A BCom or similar Finance/Accounting qualification is advantageous, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial principles.
- Proven experience as a junior accountant, showcasing practical application of accounting knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Proficient in numbers, figures, and analytical acumen, reflecting a solid grasp of financial concepts.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices, contributing to compliance and transparency.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant software such as Pastel Accounting, showcasing technological proficiency.
