Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Business Development for Critical Infrastructure, as a Jr. Technical Support Specialist you will:

  • Support the development of technical expertise within our channel.
  • Assist our clientele with product support and deployment.
  • Help drive technical training and documentation for our access management platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Documentation:
    • Create technical specifications, user manuals, and support documents to facilitate product installation and maintenance.
  • Training & Support:
    • Develop training materials and conduct sessions for partners.
    • Provide hands-on technical support for our CLIQ product range across Africa and the Middle East.
  • Sales & Deployment Assistance:
    • Accompany sales teams and partners during deployments and usage of CLIQ projects.
  • System Integration:
    • Support the technical deployment of access management platforms and assist with system integration activities.
  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver outstanding customer service and technical expertise, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to service standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 🎓 Education:
    • Essential: Grade 12
    • Beneficial: Technical Engineering or Tech School degree in Electronics/Computer Equipment (PLC’s, Robotics, or similar)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years within the security and access control industry
    • Beneficial: 4+ years’ experience in server and network administration & automation
  • 🏆 Certifications (Beneficial):
    • A+, N+, Microsoft Qualification MCSE, MCITP, or equivalent
    • CCTV or Access Control Certifications are a plus
  • 🔧 Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in electronic circuitry, system integration, and adherence to wiring/installation standards
    • Practical experience with intruder alarm wiring/installation, control panel programming, and CCTV systems
    • Strong knowledge of server management, network planning, and automation tools
    • Proficiency in MS Office and specialized business/sales software
  • 🚗 Additional Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to problem solve logically on site
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Flexibility to travel across Africa and the Middle East, with occasional trips to other regions
