About the Role:

We are looking for a confident, resilient, and trend-savvy Junior Buyer to join our dynamic team. You will assist in developing, sourcing, and curating apparel ranges that align with the company’s strategy and customer needs. Your role will involve end-to-end coordination of product development, vendor management, and supporting e-commerce operations for our Ladieswear division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with creating and capturing all purchase orders with accuracy based on Buyer approval.

• Follow up on all placed orders, ensuring timely execution.

• Confirm SKUs, tickets, and requisitions with suppliers.

• Maintain a current and organized catalogue of samples.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to manage the distribution of samples.

• Monitor product performance and manage good vs bad sellers.

• Liaise with QA to ensure sample inspections and approvals are done on time.

• Assist with preparation of e-commerce sample handovers and support in writing product descriptions.

• File and update documentation across interrelated departments.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• A postgraduate qualification in Fashion is essential.

Experience:

• 2-4 years in a retail buying environment, ideally within apparel.

• Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented and highly organized.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Conversant with current fashion trends.

• Customer-focused and proactive team player.

• Google Suite proficiency (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
