This role is based at Lea Glen, Roodepoort and reports directly to the Service Centre Supervisor.


Role Overview

The Junior Call Centre Consultant ensures a smooth customer experience by handling incoming and outgoing calls, capturing orders accurately, assisting clients with pharmaceutical inquiries, and contributing to sales growth. You will help build customer relationships, support operational efficiency, and maintain compliance in line with wholesale and distribution policies.


Key Responsibilities

πŸ“ž Customer Service & Engagement

  • Receive incoming customer calls and respond professionally

  • Capture orders accurately and timeously onto the CDM online system

  • Build strong customer relationships to maximise revenue and repeat purchases

  • Make outbound calls within required time frames to meet departmental cut-off times

πŸ“ˆ Sales Support & Revenue Growth

  • Support the achievement of individual and departmental sales targets

  • Identify opportunities to increase order value and support customer retention

βš™οΈ Compliance & Operational Efficiency

  • Adhere to Good Wholesale and Distribution Practice

  • Follow CDM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times

  • Record and report all errors at the end of each cut-off period

  • Assist in meeting cost-containment targets

  • Ensure all daily deadlines and cut-off times are met


Minimum Requirements

πŸŽ“ Education & Experience

  • Matric / NQF Level 4

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment

  • Pharmaceutical distribution experience is advantageous

🧠 Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

  • Strong communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette

  • Understanding of call centre procedures
